For a small development designed in the growing suburb of Denman Prospect, Canberra, two houses are proposed on small parcels of land. The primary aim was to capture the scenic north facing views available on the site. Each house also features a central landscaped courtyard creating a relationship between internal and external. The interior spaces are carefully designed to accentuate this central courtyard as a focal point; the living area consists of a window seat creating a still space to relish the sensitive design of the courtyard and the views that the site has to offer. The exterior palette forms contrasting facades, setting each house apart and allowing them to find their unique street presence.
