As the Director of Front Architects (JWLand Design), Vikram designed this development of two hundred and seven apartments at the core of Canberra city. With this specific location, the scheme scales down from the high-rise developments of the CBD connecting to the smaller single residential builds, east of the site. The project delivers contemporary apartments which enclose a central oasis courtyard. The central atrium enables natural light and ventilation to flow into the interior spaces. Moreover, this natural vicinity extends onto the rooftop garden which features views of Mount Ainslie. The final choice of materials includes exposed concrete, glass, and metal cladding along with the use of recycled bricks as a response to the site’s heritage context.
