Yarralumla House

The Yarralumla House relates to the suburb’s historic character whilst radiating the modern exterior of a new development. A mixture of materials, including brick, metal cladding, and glass, visually connect the facade to the older houses on the street but maintain modernity through bold lines. The front of the house opens at a corner, with double-height ceilings amplifying its grandeur. The private garden and pool face away from the street for privacy.

To increase its block space, the Yarralumla House uses an optimised floorplan. The garage is situated underneath the house inside a multifunctional basement that includes a private study and a theatre.
