Chevli Architects are a design-led architecture practice based in Surat and Canberra. Working across a range of sectors, our two studios bring together the contrasting geographic and climatic contexts of India and Australia. We believe that our diverse experience has shaped our perspective and brings a unique character to our designs.

Our roots go back to twenty years ago, when we worked on projects alongside professional experience in different cities and firms. In this way, we established the beginning of Chevli Architects.

To us, architecture is about creating ‘places’ that respond to its physical, cultural, and climatic context. With a focus on experiential design, we create meaningful and memorable spaces through the sensitive use of materials, finishes, and natural light.

We are a curious and inquisitive team, striving to better ourselves through each project and with each passing day. For us, size, location, and budget are not a concern – we see each project, with its unique challenges, as a possibility to deliver the best outcome for our clients.

Being a part of projects in different locations has been the biggest opportunity for us and our journey. So, for now, we think it’s time to connect the dots.
